About

The primary focus of the Grade 8 science curriculum are the Earth Sciences of Astronomy, Geology, Oceanography and Meteorology.  Grade 7 Science introduces or reinforces a number of Life Science and Physical Science topics, including  Matter and Energy, Biodiversity, Ecology and Ecosystems, Adaptation/Change/ Evolution, Force and Motion.  The Science curriculum has been fully integrated with Maine’s Learning Results as well as national science standards. Course work is divided between teacher-directed lessons, exploratory activities, individual and group research, technology assisted learning and classroom discussions.

  Mr. Rodrigue believes that all students can learn, and generally expects them to do so to the best of their abilities. Academics are the number one priority in Mr.Rodrigue’s classes.  By achieving academic success, Mr. Rodrigue feels that students will attain a strong sense of self-esteem and confidence in their abilities and will be able to achieve similar success in their future pursuits.
